Greenleaf Air Ranch to become "Small Aviation Business Haven"

Greenleaf, Idaho, May 12, 2010 – The Treasure Valley’s aviation business community has a new place to call home. A recently-granted "Airpark Commercial" zoning designation will catalyze a "small aviation business haven," for the exciting and ever emerging, Idaho aviation industry.  “As a mayor, pilot and business owner, I am excited to not only support the concept, but to welcome the aviation business community to their new home in Greenleaf” says Greenleaf Mayor Brad Holton.

Twenty-one new commercial sites will allow business owners to build a home, operate their business and have a hangar, all on spacious, privately owned lots. The new designation is welcome news to those small business owners struggling to operate out of airports with increasing FAA regulations and limitations. "The airpark’s commercial designation, will allow me to consolidate my business, personal and aviation expenses and realize substantial monthly savings, said Jeff Ekberg, Owner of JSE Enterprises and pilot.  Ekberg's construction company is one of the first to relocate to the Greenleaf Air Ranch.

The Greenleaf Air Ranch now offers aviation enthusiasts three unique purchase scenarios, each with ownership and immediate access to a private airstrip. The first option is to own a private hangar with attached living quarters (or pilot’s lounge) in the residential area. The second scenario is to build a custom home and a private hangar in the residential area.  The third scenario is what now, truly distinguishes this air park from others—Greenleaf Air Ranch owners can have their home, their hangar and their business all on one site in the commercial area. This “live, work, and fly from home” concept reduces commute times and consolidates expenses and overhead, by locating everything on one site. "This business minded strategic vision, is not only unique to air parks throughout the country, but makes perfect sense in today’s challenging economy," said Red Dory, owner of Idaho Bush Company.

With a vision toward today's aviation entrepreneur, this "live, work and fly from home" strategy has the further benefit of being located on a privately owned air strip. This unique business concept was founded by the Priddy Group—an Idaho-based team of entrepreneurial investors.

Greenleaf Air Ranch is located just west of the Boise airspace and offers 5-minute interstate access to I-84. Phase I residential sites at Greenleaf Air Ranch range in size from approximately ¼ acre to ½ acre. Commercial sites will also be available from ¼  to ½ acre. Phase I residential is now available for purchase; commercial sites may be reserved at this time.
